The electrical installations of the Hospital, DPC and Clinic are designed, installed, operated and maintained to provide safe and reliable electrical supply and lighting to support the healthcare services therein.

The fixed electrical installations comply with all relevant statutory requirements, including but not limited to those stipulated under the following Ordinances –

(a) Electricity Ordinance (Cap. 406) and its subsidiary Regulations and Codes of Practice;

(b) Buildings Ordinance (Cap. 123);

(c) Dangerous Goods Ordinance (Cap. 295); and

(d) Fire Services Ordinance (Cap. 95).

 

The electrical installations are designed and installed to meet the electrical demand of the Hospital, DPC and Clinic. Also, The electrical installations are properly operated and maintained, complying with all applicable statutory requirements and taking into consideration of the guidance given in manufacturers’ recommendations and good trade practices.

 

The fixed electrical installations are inspected, tested and certified periodically by a registered electrical worker/contractor in accordance with the Electricity Ordinance (Cap. 406).

 

MDD has a professional engineering team for audit and consultation service on design, installation and maintenance.
